How this screen fares in practice has a two-fold answer. On the one hand text and images look incredibly sharp and detailed. Viewing high-quality photographs on this screen is a real pleasure.


Gaming on 4K resolution is truly a joy.


The incredible sharpness and outstanding colours definitely have added value, it's really something that needs to be experienced in person.


Current high-end graphics cards are not quite on the level of being able to provide smooth framerates on high quality settings, but fps-capped games can definitely be enjoyed in this resolution.


The future of PC gaming looks even more rosy on these types of displays.

NANOTECH ENTERTAINMENT announced it has helped fund over 50 percent of costs for World 1-1, the first in an epic series of documentaries on the history of video games and gaming.

Additionally, NanoTech Entertainment is providing the 4K camera equipment for the project.

As part of the World 1-1 support agreement, UltraFlix, NanoTech's streaming 4K Ultra HD service, has been granted exclusive 4K rights to distribute the documentary at four times the resolution of high definition.

The expected release date for the documentary is October 2014.

For the next few years at least, 4K looks set to be a realm for the super-rich and die-hard early adopters.


However, with the ever-popular Netflix looking be the mainstay of 4K Internet streaming and plenty of room for improvement when it comes to large home TV resolutions, the new standard does at least have a gap to slot into when prices fall, which they will.


There’s also a an avid PC gaming fan base that are already posting YouTube videos of 4K gaming sessions, although the future of 4K gaming on next-gen consoles looks less certain.

So basically 4k is the most amazing type od display you can get. I is way better than 1080p and everything you look at comes to life right in your front room. This is truly amazing and I am so excited when I get one.
