4K and Ultra HD TVs prices plummet for the holidays | Ultra High Definition Television (UHDTV) | Scoop.it

Now that traditional HDTV has become a standard in millions of homes across America, manufactures are busy pushing out the new model, the 4K TV.

With manufacturers like Sony and Samsung leading the charge, prices for these TVs are falling at an incredible rate as we move into holiday 2013.
Earlier this year 4KTVs hit the market with an MSRP of $5,000 – a little over $6,000, which is a lot of money for a new television in almost every household.

With the holiday season ending in about 13 days, these prices are falling dramatically, though they aren’t expected to stay low for a very long time.
